Two FPS students win library competition

Expressions Contest Winner PhotoCongratulations to Kaitlyn Evans (Morris Ford Middle School) and Hannah Carter (Franklin Pierce High School) for being selected as first place award winners in the 2018 Pierce County Library Teen Writing and Art Contest. Among 1,000 entries, Kaitlyn received a first place award in the grades 7 and 8 photography contest and Hannah placed first in the grades 11 and 12 poetry contest.

Pierce County Library invites teenage writers and artists to participate in the Our Own Expressions Writing and Art Context  by sharing their creativity through original drawings, photography, poetry and short stories.

Over 1,000 students across Pierce County submitted entries between January 19, 2018 and February 28, 2018. An awards ceremony will be held on May 30, 2018 at 7:00pm at Lagerquist Concert Hall, Pacific Lutheran University.
